IHE N.A. Connectathon 2011
Vendors use IHE Connectathons to prepare their products for use in demonstrations and pilots and in production environments. Preparation for Connectathon testing includes a two-three month process that requires completion of pre-tests, followed by the week-long event that requires healthcare IT vendors to test their systems against products from three other vendors to ensure systems are interoperable.
Participating organizations and staff clocked in hundreds of hours together and the results are impressive. Thank you to all the participant staff, volunteers and management for your hard-work and commitment to standards-based interoperable health IT applications.
- Over 4,000 verified tests completed by more than 450 health IT system engineers who were fine-tuning connectivity of their products; and
- More than 150 health IT applications and devices on-site from 100 participating organizations and vendors from the three continents of North America, Europe and Asia.
