Mobile Health Hack-a-thon: Wednesday, January 30, 2013

The Hack-a-thon will be held at the IHE NA Connectathon 2013 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm CT and will provide the attendees insight into the Mobile access to Health Documents (MHD) profile and provide the opportunity to get a first look at its functionality. The Hack-a-thon will bring together both implementers of the MHD profile and possible users. The environment will be an extension of the normal IHE Connectathon atmosphere to encourage creativity and problem solving.

The Hack-a-thon will be hosted by John Moehrke from GE, a member of IHE's IT Infrastructure Technical Committee, and the editor of the MHD profile.

The goal of this Hack-a-thon is twofold:

  1. Provide a social environment to share experiences with implementations of the MHD profile
  2. Help improve the profile through rapid prototyping and manipulation of the MHD profile interface.

Hack-a-thon Agenda: January 30, 2013, from 3:00pm - 7:00pm CT

  • ·Presentation of the MHD profile goal and content
  • ·Presentation of a few implementations of the server side of this profile
  • ·Presentation of a few implementations of mobile applications
  • ·Examination of HL7 FHIR advancement of the concept of MHD
  • Hacking: given the programming tools of today, we expect to see some quick prototyping of applications that could go on to mobile devices and leverage the MHD profile
  • Discussion and Summary
