

IHE North American Connectathons
What is an IHE Connectathon?
An IHE Connectathon is a cross-vendor, live, supervised, structured testing event with over 150 participating vendors and 600+ engineers and IT architects. All these organizations and IT experts converge on-site in Chicago, IL. for one full week of interoperability testing and problem resolution. Participants test their products against multiple vendors using real-world clinical scenarios contained in IHE's Integration Profiles.

Interesting Facts about the IHE N.A. Connectathon
- The first Connectathon was held in 1999 in Chicago, IL. in the basement of the Radiological Society of North America's (RSNA) parking garage.
- At the first Connectathon there were 23 vendors, 47 applications tested and 1 IHE Integration Profile tested.
