IHE North American Connectathon 2012 Announced

IHE USA is excited to announce that the IHE North American (N.A.) Connectathon 2012 will take place January 9-14, 2012 in Chicago, IL. This year there will be seven IHE Domains testing at the Connectathon including Radiology, IT Infrastructure, Patient Care Coordination, Quality, Research and Public Health, Cardiology, Lab, Pathology and Patient Care Devices.

Registration is open August 22 through September 30, 2011. All related resources, documents and information for Connectathon Participants to successfully pass testing will be listed here. Bookmark this page for future use.

Gazelle Registration, IHE’s Online Test management System

IHE International uses an online testing management system, named Gazelle, to aid in organizing, conducting and recording the testing process. Register following the steps below beginning August 22 through September 30, 2011.

  1. Prospective participants begin the registration process by entering information in Gazelle about their organization and the systems they wish to test.
  2. Upon completion, Participants will use Gazelle to generate a PDF contract. Participants will sign and submit their contract to IHE USA by September 30, 2011.
  3. Payments must be sent to IHE USA by October 30, 2011.

Registration will NOT be considered complete until a signed contract is received by IHE USA before September 30, 2011 and payments processed before October 30, 2011. Participants unable to meet these deadlines will be unable to participate in the IHE North American Connectathon 2012.

Need to obtain an invoice? Request an invoice for your organization by sending an email to connectathon@ihe.net and IHE USA will submit an invoice to your organization. Invoices must be paid before October 30, 2011.

Important Change in Connectathon Schedule

Please note that the IHE North American Connectathon 2012 dates have been adjusted. All participants need to arrange their travel accommodations accordingly. The North American Connectathon 2012 will begin on Monday, January 9, 2012 with badge registration and system set-up. Please note that the meeting space at the Hyatt will not be open on Sunday, January 8, 2012.

Connectathon test participants are required to be in attendance through 5:00pm CT on Friday, January 13, 2012. HIMSS12 Interoperability Showcase connected demonstration testing will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2012 until 12:00pm CT. Please review the important dates listed below or access the detailed Connectathon & Showcase time lines.
