IHE Profiles 

"IHE Connectathon testing," as it is generically known, is the testing implementations of IHE Profiles defined in IHE Technical Frameworks. IHE USA is excited to announce that we have over 180 IHE Profiles available for testing. Use the table below to review the IHE Profiles categorized by IHE’s nine domains. A detailed description and link to each IHE Profiles is available for your convenience.

IHE Domains and Profile Testing Options

HL7 Consolidated CDA®

HL7's Consolidated CDA (C-CDA) is the new standard for electronic health records in the US and 
C-CDA version 2.1 will be offered at IHE NA Connectathon 2017 in an effort to drive implementation forward. Version 2.1 includes key referral, plan of care and consult reports. No additional fees are required to test C-CDA documents. Access HL7’s document specifications on HL7's website.
Below is a full listing of Document Creators and Consumers. Organizations that can create documents can register to test one or more of these twelve C-CDA 2.1 document types. Organizations that consume C-CDA documents are required to support all document types.

Supported Document Exchange

Consolidated CDA testing will not require IHE Profiles to exchange documents. Organizations may choose from these methods of document exchange:
  • IHE XDS.b document submission and retrieval
  • Web page for document upload (no client software needed; only a web browser)
  • Web page for document search and download (no client software needed; only a web browser)
