On March 16, 2016, IHE USA submitted written comments to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) in response to the 2016 Interoperability Standards Advisory (ISA). IHE's comments focused on (1) the Value Sets included in the ISA to advance the achievement of nationwide interoperability; (2) the six new informative characteristics included for best available standards, implementation specifications and the addition of a section for security patterns; (3) IHE USA comments ONC for separating out the Interoperability Needs where LOINC represents the question vs. where SNOWMED-CT represents the answer, where applicable.
